Shylock Adsense is a WordPress plugin that allows you to insert Adsense ads on your blog without modifying the template. More then that, you can set it up to show different Adsense ads for articles older then X days (x is the number of days you decide).
For example, you can insert a 468√ó60 ad at the bottom of a new article, and once that article turns 7 days old it will have a more aggressive 336√ó280 ad blended with the text from the beginning of that article.
This way your regular readers will not be bothered by your ads, while visitors coming to older posts from search engines or other sources, will see a version that is monetized better.
Another feature is the ability to have articles without ads inserted in them, very useful for payed reviews, where you might not be allowed to have ads (I think it’s the case with PayPerPost).

The feature that has been anticipated by the publishers for a long time, has been introduced now. New feature will let you update your AdSense ads (their look and feel, link colors..etc) from your AdSense account only.
With this feature, next time you want to change your ads’ look and feel:
- You will just have to login to your AdSense
- Change particular ads’ link colors, bg colors, text colors…etc to the new desired colors
- And just press save
And all the ads, that use this script will be automatically updated throughout your blog/site. No manually changing the ads anymore in every page or in your blog’s theme!
How to activate this feature?
In order to use this feature, you need to create your ads again with the extra option that is supplied when you are creating ads. This option is called AdSense unit name and will appear at the end of the form.
This will allow you to name (identify) your ads from one another. Try to name them with descriptive names, example: by their location, site name etc. (eg. Adivorblog footer 720√ó90). Because later it will be easier to know which of your ad is used where.

Note: Google will be rolling out this feature in phases in the next few weeks. You’ll know it’s available for you to use when you see the new Manage Ads page appear under your AdSense Setup tab.
If you’ve ever generated ad code in the past, then you’ll notice some changes in your account with our latest feature. This new ad management feature allows you to store details about an AdSense unit, including ad size, colors, and channel settings, on our servers. By keeping these details on our servers rather than in the ad code on your pages, you can make changes to the AdSense units on your pages from within your account.
