Social Community for Sharing Files
Tribler is a social community that facilitates file sharing through a so called peer-to-peer (p2p) network. A p2p network is structural different to a server-computer structure, where every user downloads its files from one central server. Within p2p the user/downloader becomes also an uploader to the next user. In this way there is no central computer that provides every file to all users.

Talicious.com - Got Talent? Post here.

Talicious is a site that allows people to get “discovered.” People post their talent, it gets categorized and indexed, and then the public rates them. The higher the rating, the higher their video goes on the chart. It is a pretty simple idea and easy to implement. I admit, my first thought was that it reminded me of “The Gong Show,” but really that just ages me. Obviously, there is a market for “talent” out there because there is a popular TV show with this exact premise. And thus it seems plausible that the idea of finding talent can be tranferred online in some way. On the other hand, the site had minimal talent content and little traffic, so either it is just getting known or is not what the “scouts” are looking for right now.
