How does the competition work?

There is a link at the top right hand page of the site called Competition, this tells you what you need to know. However, to summarize, you’ve got to be 16 years of age or older to enter. You must upload to Clipstar.com a video clip which falls into one of the following categories: Singers, Band or Group, Comedy, Acting, Director or Film, Animation, Dance, Music or Any Other. Entrants may choose the category, or categories, in which the video should be entered. Entries must not exceed 10 minutes in length or 100MB in size. There are 4 quarterly competition periods each lasting 3 months to determine who will go through to the final. The winner of each quarterly category competition will each receive $10,000 and be automatically entered in to the final. At the end of each year there will be a total of 36 video clips that will battle it out over a 2-week period for the top prize of $1,000,000. All previous voting for these clips will be deleted and will start again from zero votes.

All quarterly entries will be automatically re-entered in to the next quarterly competition unless stated otherwise. The previous votes received for entries that roll over will be deleted so all videos start from zero. There will be a history attached to previous entries showing how many votes the video received in the previous competition rounds.
